Ahoy! Today was another day spent in Poland. Jacob has been doing a phenomenal job and working out the details for getting us around to and form camps the past few days. Believe it or not, but we haven't even had our own vehicle to use for this road trip we are on. The van that we are supposed to be using was in the shop for the past few days and was thankfully released to us today. Praise the Lord! We now have a home for the next month!
From my understanding, things just take longer in Europe. People are just generally slower to get things done. This is something that I have come to terms with as a good thing (at least not a bad thing). It's just different. Different form the American, "I have to have what I want right now, and if not, then it's me against the entire world." Well maybe not that drastic. There are definitely some Europeans who are known of their power trips ;)
We were originally informed that our 1999 VW Van would be done at 10 am Tuesday morning. We eventually picked it up around 9:30 pm after waiting an hour and a half at the garage to pick it up. It was really no big deal to me. We got to rest some and watch a gorgeous sunset.
Tomorrow is a new day. We will be filming parts of a hike and grabbing some interviews with students who are attending English, music, and sports camps, as well as Josiah Venture staff who. It will be a full day tomorrow. After it is all over, we will be driving back to Czech to get some shut eye before visiting some Czech camps for a few days. Until then, stayed tuned for some pictures! Čau!
